Update: The second device also failed within a very short time. I think this may be a design fault on the device, which renders it incompatible with managed auto sensing PoE switches.
I'm now on the third device, but this time I've disabled PoE on the switch port (it was previously in auto-sense mode), and the device now appears to be working fine.
Now that it is working, I've found that the device isn't ideal for corporate subnetted networks as the LAN port doesn't allow you to configure a gateway, however you can connect it up using the WAN port, unfortunately the web interface isn't on the WAN interface. Not a major problem, but annoying non the less.
The device includes a NAT/PPPoE/PPPoA router, DHCP server etc. The first thing I've done is disable all this, as all I wanted was a basic SIP -_ Analogue telephone convertor.
Due to all the problems I've had, I'm afraid I still can't give this a high rating, but I imagine that this device will be very good for home users wishing to use VoIP with an analogue telephone device.
If you are looking to implement this on a corporate network, then I'd recommend steering clear of this device.
