I had an earlier version of this, and this one is noticeably faster in its web interface. It still has really basic bugs - like for instance saying "Registration failed" when it has in fact succeeded.
Some of the configuration has to be done through Siemens's own web site, and that is horribly buggy. It keeps falling over itself and you have to log out and start again.
The configuration facilities are fairly restrictive - for instance, you can specify that calls should go via VOIP and then fall back to the fixed line if VOIP is unavailable, but it seems you can't do it the other way around, which would be much more useful. For me, most calls over the fixed line are free, so I'd like my calls to go that way first, then fall back to VOIP if someone is already using the fixed line.
It comes with practically no documentation, and the CD provided is idiotic. Instead of providing a PDF of the manual on the CD, they provide some sort of Windows program, into which the manual is embedded. If you don't use Windows, you're stuck and have to go out and search for the manual on the web.
In both the stupid CD and the web interface, there's a feeling of developers trying to be too clever, at the expense of then making things not work properly. Both the in-built web configuration and the remote web site need less in the way of pretty graphics and more in the way of basic testing.
Once it's set up however it works fine.
